Westbrook Creek

This is a great fun run from the former Golf Course just downstream of the 401.  In the past golfers might look at you funny as you drive in and start un-strapping your canoe.  Later in the season you might also have be asked to 'sign-in'.

The course closed in 2019?... Spring 2020 everything was overgrown, and December 2020 a No Trespass barricade was the welcome...  I have reached to CRCA about waterway access.

As you descend down Westbrook Creek you will see golf balls in the stream....

It is a fun run with a few surprises to Princess St. or Highway 2.  The drop downstream of Princess to the other end of Westbrook is a thrill.  It can be pretty boney so check it from the bridge before paddling so you don't leave any vinyl behind.

There are 2 drops on this run, but you can scout them them before running to prevent any damage to your boats.

Fun is not far away.

There could be bike options...  is it about 25 minutes to bike from Collin's Bay to the golf course.

There are a lot of large Willows on this run and this can be very dangerous.  ALWAYS SCOUT!  2017 there were a number of dangerous snags in the creek.

Points of Interest

Westbrook Creek does not flow out of a local reservoir.  Westbrook Creek is a simple run-off creek.  There is no lake to start from.  One could trace headwaters to the K&P trail and Van Order Rd, but creek navigation is questionable.
