This is a more advanced run for spring paddlers. This run was not included in past books. The run through the canyon needs to be scouted.
In early spring there can be ice dams...
Fencing has been constructed since 2016 making for more difficult portages if needed.
Points of Interest
This is a short run.
The canyon is really the main point of interest on the Lower Napanee.
For the more advanced paddler, there is the series of old mill structures still in exsitance in Newburgh.
