As individuals we are only one voice.  If we join a group... we increase our voice and there is harmony.  If as an individual we write a letter about a conservation issue, we are a single voice.  If we are part of a group that is advocating for something we care about and they write a letter, they are writing on behalf of 10, 20, or 100+ people.  For $20/year or whatever the membership is, join local groups to help them advocate for the spaces we care about.  And still write that letter.... it will echo, or add harmony to the voice of the membership!
