First Aid Training.

There are 2 different streams of first-aid training; urban, and wilderness and remote first-aid.  We live in both worlds, and having the training to be able to help someone in need is a great skill to have.

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a 4-6 hour course that is the foundation of all First Aid programs.

Emergency First Aid is an additional 2 hours course expanding on CPR programs for a total of 6-8 hours of practice and training.

This 20 hr wilderness program is for those who are more than 2 hours from help, and need to be able to stabilize the situation, and go for help.  This course equips people with the skills they need to recognize the situation, provide care and develop a plan, and call for help or organize and evacuation.

WFA courses are available upon request.  3 public WFAs are offered in Frontenac Provincial Park

RFA was formerly called WFA, same 20 hour program.

WFA is a 40 hour course, formerly called Advanced Wilderness First Aid.  This advanced wilderness program can be done as one course, or a bridge from the 20hr program.

A public bridge course is offered in Frontenac Park in October.

Standard First Aid is an additional 8 hour course expanding on the EFA and CPR programs for a total of 14-16hrs of training and practice.

Most of Wilderness Tripping's courses are in-house courses, but some are opened to the public.
